But if you want to make the most of your digital collection, you’ll want to get your book collections scanned and have them printed out.
That’s where the Canon Pixma printer comes in.
The Canon Pixmas printer comes with all the necessary tools to get the job done, but it’s more than that.
The printer’s compact size, wide range of resolution, and powerful optical character recognition (OCR) technology allow it to easily produce a high-quality cover for all kinds of books.
Here are some of the things you’ll need to know about Canon Pixums printers:Canon Pixma printers are small and light, weighing only a few ounces.
The Canon Pix Mas printer, on the other hand, weighs in at over 6 pounds.
The Pixmas printers have two high-speed optical character processors, one for each line of text, and the other for each page of book cover.
You’ll need the following items to get started:An SD card with at least 512MB of free space, such as a microSD card, microSDXC, or microSDHC card, that can hold your book files.
An SD memory card that supports microSD cards, such a 32GB or 64GB card.
An SD card reader, such an SD card slot, SD card adapter, or SD card.
A USB cable, to connect the printer to your computer.
A battery pack, if you plan on printing for extended periods of time.
A USB charger, to charge the printer.
And, of course, a good book.
Here’s what you’ll do:Put the SD card in the printer’s SD card slots.
Insert the SD memory cards into the printer, using the SD slot as the internal SD card drive.
Close the SD slots and power the printer on.
When the printer turns on, the SD cards should be visible on the LCD panel.
Close all the SD and power ports.
Press the “Start” button on the SD reader to select the SD Card Reader slot, and press the “Insert” button to select your SD memory slots.
The SD card is inserted into the SD port.
Press “Start,” and the LCD will display the first line of the book cover, as well as the title, author, and author’s bio.
The title should look something like this:The author bio should look like this:(with the author’s name and the ISBN, and no other information)If the cover looks too dark, try turning the brightness up.
Press and hold the “OK” button until the cover begins to show on the screen.
Press on the back of the cover, and it should come up.
You can choose to either print the cover on paper, or have it be framed with the printed cover.
You can either use a different type of printer, or use the Canon Scanner app to scan your book.
To print the book, press the Scan button.
The Scan button will pop up a list of available book cover formats.
The most popular options are standard cover sizes, which are 12.5″ x 17.25″, or 16″ x 20″, or 24″ x 36″, or 32″ x 48″.
If you’re using a standard cover, choose “Standard” or “Digital” from the drop-down menu.
To scan the book onto a blank SD card, press “Scan” again.
The card should come to life.
Press the “Scan Now” button at the top of the screen to start the scan process.
When finished, you can save the scanned book in the SD or memory card slot of your choice.
You’ll also need to insert the SD/SDHC memory card into the Canon scanning software, so you can get the most out of it.
After you scan your new book cover to the SDXC/SDXHC slot, it’ll appear on the Scanner screen as a black screen.
Pressing the Scan now button will open up the Scan window.
The image on the scan will show the cover image as a gray rectangle, with the book title and author name and ISBN, with no other info.
Pressing the “Close Scan” button will close the Scan Window.
You should now have a scanned book.
If you don’t, you should start the Scan Process again.
Press Scan now to start a scan.
This scan process will take a few minutes, depending on your computer’s performance.
Once complete, the book will be ready for printing.
The scans are done, so press “Print” to save the book.
You should see the cover shown on the display.
